Experience the true Canadian Fishing Lodge!

You need only bring your fishing tackle, personal items, alcoholic beverages and preferred mix, wine and beer and a big appetite for the delicious meals. Your fly fishing vacation starts with a warm welcome and a boat ride across the lake. After settling into your cabin we offer a brief orientation of our facilities.

Come into the lodge to talk briefly about the fishing and trail network. If you are an experienced fisherman we will orient you to our trails and lakes and send you on your way. We know that for you time spent talking about fishing is time that could be spent fishing.

If you are a novice we will take the time to check out your fishing equipment and fly selection. We will make a few recommendations on best choice of fly to start with, teach you how to tie on a fresh leader or lend a back pack and raingear and make sure you are good to go. Larry will make sure you are clear on operating the small outboard motors that are available on three of our lakes. You may choose to go out in a motor boat, paddle a kayak or go for a short hike before dinner.

At this stage if you are looking for ice for a drink you will find it chipped and ready on the side board. Enticing aromas will start to emit from the kitchen as the finishing touches on a gourmet dining experience awaits you. Relax in the hammock and let the serenity seep into your soul.

Marlene and Larry Loney and their associates are wonderful hosts.

It’s great just hiking up to a lake with only tackle and lunch in hand to find rowboats waiting in the water, easily launched from small docks.

P.S.: The smoked trout were great!
